Dear Supporters of the Children of Chornobyl:
After careful consideration by our Board of Directors and our delegates to last year’s National Convention, the administration of the Children of Chornobyl Relief Fund has decided to officially change our name to “The Children of Chornobyl Relief and Development Fund” (acronym: CCRDF). It is our belief that this name change will more accurately reflect the long-term mission of our organization, which for many years now has pursued a policy of sustainable development and long-term improvements in health care beyond the realm of emergency relief. In the months to come, we will be changing all of our official documents, stationary, and promotional literature to reflect this change.
We thank our supporters for their understanding during this period of transition. Tax-deductible donations may still be addressed to the Children of Chornobyl Relief Fund, which is still registered with the U.S. Government’s Office of Patents and Trademarks. As of May 31, 2005, your donations may be written to the Children of Chornobyl Relief & Development Fund” or “CCRDF.”
