RUSLANA'S RESPIRATOR WORKS MIRACLES IN DNIPROPETROVSK
Earlier this year, the Children of Chornobyl Relief and Development Fund held a benefit concert featuring popular recording artist Ruslana, the winner of the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest. Some of the proceeds from the concert were used to purchase a state- of- the- art neonatal respirator which was installed at the Dnipropetrovsk City Children's Hospital # 3. During a visit to the hospital in November 2005, CCRDF representatives learned that just within its first two months in operation, the respirator has already helped to save the lives of 21 children born prematurely or with severe respiratory complications.
