In the ” Kinderklinic“ the doctors had the opportunity to observe  “Hirshprung” disease and participate in removing the trachea-bronchial fistula and fixing of diaphragm hernia which were performed partly through laparascopic techniques and partly through open technique.

During the second part of their training  Dr. Khoma and Dr. Livchak worked in the “Clementine Krankenhaus”, Hannover, where they had experience in laparoscopic colectomy,  hernioplasty, laparascopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, adhesiolysis, diagnostic laparascopy all of which they will  put into practice in the Chernivtsi Children Clinical Hospital using the laparascopic equipment which CCRDF purchased from the “Aesculap” company with funds donated by the central Maine Chapter off CCRDF in Brewer, Maine.
